A 12-year-old boy was shot and killed Saturday afternoon in the Mount Eden neighborhood of The Bronx, the New York City Police Dept. confirmed.
Two men were also wounded in the violence and hospitalized. Investigators taped off an area around the Wanda Deli on Elliot Pl. and Walton Ave. Saturday evening.
Police have not released the name of the boy who died, nor did they indicate who might have opened fire.
The child was shot in the shoulder and was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital.
