New York City police are searching for the driver who hit and killed a woman walking through a West Village crosswalk early this morning.
The 22-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, was walking westbound in the West Washington Pl. crossing at 6th Ave. when she was struck by the unidentified vehicle.
EMS rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The NYPD Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
