The New York City Police Dept. was investigating a police-involved shooting on the Lower East Side Sunday afternoon.
Investigators say a butcher knife was recovered at the scene, at at 126 Ludlow St. near Rivington St.
The incident happened around 4:00 PM. There was no immediate word on who was shot, or if any officers were hurt. Police were expected to brief reporters Sunday evening.
