Facebook and Instagram users reported outages on Meta’s social media platforms Friday morning.
Reports began spiking on DownDetector around 9:30 a.m. ET. It peaked around 10 a.m. ET with more than 110,000 users reporting issues with Facebook’s website and mobile app.
As of 11 a.m. ET, there are still nearly 10,000 outages on Facebook, according to DownDetector.
“We’re aware people are currently having trouble accessing our services. We’re working on it,” Meta spokesperson Andy Stone wrote on X at 10:11 a.m. ET.
As of 10:12 a.m. ET, Meta’s status page listed “High disruptions” for Facebooks Ads Manager.
“We are aware that some advertisers may be having trouble creating or editing their ads in Ads Manager. Our engineering teams are aware and are actively looking to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” the status page explained.
