One of summer’s sweetest traditions is back.
Every July 11, 7-Eleven celebrates its birthday by giving customers a free Slurpee, and this year’s event is extra special. Along with marking the convenience store chain’s 99th birthday, 2026 also celebrates the 60th anniversary of the iconic frozen drink, which debuted in 1966.
To mark the occasion, 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores are once again giving away free Slurpees, while rewards members can unlock additional perks, enter sweepstakes and shop limited-edition anniversary merchandise.

Get a free small Slurpee on July 11
Customers can stop by participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes locations on Saturday, July 11, to receive one free small Slurpee while supplies last. No purchase is required.
Enter to win a Slurpee Truck experience
The celebration continues beyond one free drink.
Through Aug. 29, members of the free 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards programs can enter for a chance to win a visit from the Slurpee Truck. Members can earn entries by purchasing participating products and can also play the in-app “Slurp, Snack, Win” game for chances to win instant prizes.
Celebrate the Slurpee’s 60th birthday
This year’s Slurpee Day marks six decades of the frozen beverage, which first debuted in 1966 and has become one of 7-Eleven’s signature products. To commemorate the milestone, the retailer is offering anniversary-themed merchandise through its 7Collection online store.
How to join 7Rewards
Customers can sign up for the free 7Rewards loyalty program through the 7-Eleven app. Speedway shoppers can also participate through the Speedy Rewards program.
Membership gives customers access to promotions, sweepstakes entries, app-exclusive games and other offers throughout the year.
Where to find participating stores
The free Slurpee giveaway is available at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores nationwide while supplies last. Customers can use the store locator on the 7-Eleven website or app to find a participating location nearby.
What’s new for 2026?
Unlike last year’s promotion, 7-Eleven is focusing its 2026 celebration on the Slurpee’s 60th anniversary. The chain has replaced last year’s extra free Slurpee coupon and “Tongue-too” tongue tattoos with sweepstakes, an in-app game and anniversary merchandise celebrating the frozen drink’s milestone.
